Faith Library InterLibrary Loan Policy
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Policy for the Faith Public/School Library
Interlibrary Loan is the act of one library lending to another library.
Procedure:
A patron can request a limited amount of items not found in the Faith Public/School Library from Interlibrary Loan (ILL) by writing down the material title and author (if applicable). Library Staff will search for the item requested. Materials may be unavailable for many reasons such as too new, too expensive, too many materials already loaned to Faith Library, etc.
Patron will be contacted by library staff when requested ILL materials are received. Material titles will be written on the calendar and papers placed in received/returned files by staff.
Patron may keep the material for the designated time as requested by library loaning item. Patron requesting item will sign this agreement and will return item on requested/return date.
Renewal:
ILL Material may only be renewed once, if loaning library allows.
ILL Charges:
If an ILL material is late a fine of a $1.00 per day is accessed. If material is damaged, patron is responsible for the cost of ILL material.
*Library Staff may contact parent if youth requests inappropriate/not age level material.
I have read and agreed that these statements are true. I will follow the procedures/guidelines for checking out ILL materials.
